Peach Farm
Chinatown. Fresh seafood. Skip to the chef's suggestions. There will most likely be a wait so come early. Peach Farm is known for lobster (above cheap). The clams in black bean sauce, however, are a must. Tender with a thick and slightly spicy sauce with bits of jalapeño, the portion is generous and the blend of sea and spice is a delight.
The crispy fried boneless duck with taro displays a unique spin with texture contrast. The initial bite is immediate crunch from the fry. The dish's consistencies are layered, next with the smooth and creamy taro juxtaposed by the tender duck. Served with a sweet sauce, not needed, but a welcome addition to the already complex bite.
Always recommend a vegetable dish to compliment the proteins. Stir fried pea pod stems are the perfect choice. Reminiscent of spinach, the stems are sautéed with the ideal amount of garlic and salt.
As with most Chinese restaurants, there are a plethora of dishes to try. Will certainly be back more.
