The Glenville Stops

Off the beaten path, but a nice walk from the Harvard Ave. T stop (Green Line - B). Come for the snacks and sit at the beautiful bar. Atmospheric with lots of wood. Also the option for a meal slightly above cheap. Bread is served with a unique eggplant tahini. Smoky and creamy, what a treat! Good to eat even without the bread. The creamy carrot soup displays a fresh take on a bisque. Full of flavor with strong elements of cumin. Bits of cauliflower and walnuts add crunch and texture. Raw honey is blended in to provide color and a smooth finish. The charred octopus, with gigante bean salad, masa seca, and queso fresco was vibrant with a mediterranean flair. A modest portion of octopus and enough for a small meal. Plenty of snacks and small plates to chose to from!
