The Druid - Sunday Brunch
While Inman Square's pub The Druid offers delicious burgers and standard Irish fare in the evenings (and lively Irish sessions), the simple Sunday brunch menu presents hearty and flavorful choices in the earlier hours. There are plenty of omelettes. The smoked salmon variety (most likely three eggs) is served with a heaping portion of salmon, spinach, and a dollop of cream - the perfect substitute to a bagel with lox. The Irish breakfast is of course the highlight, with enough meat for at least two meals. The Irish sausage and bacon (slightly similar to a country ham) are smoky and salty. The black and white puddings are rich with a slight crunch. The black pudding is a tad sweet with a creamy texture. The dish is complete with beans and roasted potatoes. Not in the mood for a lot of breakfast? Certainly enough to split.
