Esperia Grill
Casual and quaint. Brighton's Esperia Grill welcomes take-out and dine-in. While busy on an evening, there are a good number of tables and a small parking lot. Parking should also be available on the side streets off Brighton Center and on the 57-bus route. Fall is coming and this cuisine is not to be missed for the hearty and authentic Greek staples. Go for the specials which come with a pleasant Greek salad and one hot side. The large salads are also a solid choice with your pick of protein. Serving many standards such as gyros, spinach pie, pastichio (macaroni pie), mousaka, and keftedes (Greek meatballs). The meatballs are thick, the size of sliders, well-seasoned, and compliment the creamy tsatiki sauce (yogurt mixed with cucumber) with a squeeze of lemon. The standout is the beautifully baked lamb shank. The lamb falls off the bone and is moderately spiced atop a fragrant bay leaf. The sides are perfect for a cool fall day and highly recommend the velvety butternut squash puree.
