Holly Crab
Fun and tasty, Cajun style. Fresh seafood with a kick (if you want). Pick your shellfish, pick your sauce, pick your spice level. Holly Crab, in Packards Corner near Boston University, fills up at peak times so come early or make a reservation. The rice balls are great as a starter or better to soak up the spice. Fried oysters are large and meaty with a decent amount of fry to oyster ratio. The fries are crispy and delightful. Gumbo is also served to capture the essence of Cajun Louisiana. On that trend, why not pick crawfish. While you need to work for your meal, the crawfish are sweet and succulent, perfect with the Holly Crab (mix of garlic butter and lemon pepper) sauce and spicy level of heat. Note that this IS spicy! Served in a plastic bag with the sauce and spice all mixed in, complete with a juicy lemon wedge. Put on your bib and rubber gloves to conquer. Clams and shrimp are also available. The namesake crab for slightly above cheap. Dig in!
