Cafe Sushi
Far end of Harvard Square, closer to Central. Tucked upstairs in a row of businesses. Sit at the sushi bar or one of many tables. While this sushi restaurant has more tables than most, on a weekend at 6 PM, filled up rather quickly. Incredibly fresh fish with unique roll offerings. Even something for those that don't enjoy sushi. Grab a few rolls, nigiri, or sashimi for cheap. Slightly above cheap for a modest meal. Try something new, like the salmon skin roll. Crunchy with crisp cucumber. Plum and cucumber roll is a mix of sweet and savory although the plum is rather tart. Eel and cucumber with the tangy and sweet brown sauce is always an option. The yellowtail and scallion is the highlight. Simple with just a dab of wasabi and soy. The essence of sushi. No sushi? (or light on the sushi?) Grab a bento box for slightly above cheap. Why not get some salmon teriyaki since you are a sushi restaurant. Served with a few shumai (little dumplings), sesame-packed seaweed salad, pickled vegetables, rice, and a few California rolls. Miso soup and salad to start.
